For more than a decade, our Internet radio program, FastForward Radio / The World Transformed (co-hosted by Stephen Gordon and myself) has provided a weekly view into the astounding ways that technology is transforming our world and our lives. The show has featured interviews with prominent futurists, scientists, technologists, philosophers, filmmakers, and other prominent thinkers and influencers and has been downloaded nearly 1,000,000 times.
In 2009 and then again in 2011 we did two special 10-part series providing in-depth coverage of the biggest coming changes. After that, we were due to produce another special series, but we decided to do something different this time — something that we hope will give our listeners the chance to be involved in a way that they haven’t before.
Recently we published a new book, Visions for a World Transformed. It’s a collection of 99 great ideas for how to improve the world, written by some of our favorite guests and other friends from over the years. Each chapter provides a brief description of a new idea that can truly make a difference in our world.
We’re hoping to give away 10,000 copies of Visions. We’re inviting each recipient of the book to contribute their best idea as the 100th chapter, and to pass the book on and ask others to do the same.
